Gerard Holden – Executive Chairman


Gerard is a veteran financier in the natural resources space with over 30 years experience in Africa. Eight years as Global Head of Barclays Capital’s Mining & Metals team ensured Gerard a place as an industry leader.

Since leaving Barclays, Gerard has acted as Director of a number of listed companies including the world’s largest nickel and palladium producer, where he also chaired the Audit Committee. Gerard has been deeply involved in the development and upgrading of environmental and CSR standards for the global mining industry. Gerard typically acts as Chairman to provide management with the guidance and vision to realise the company’s and shareholders’ objectives. Together with his partner he also owns the Holden Manz Wine Estate in Franschhoek, South Africa, which is producing c.100,000 bottles of award winning wine per annum.



Jamie Murray – Non-Executive Director


Jamie Murray has been involved in growing new businesses since leaving the Army in 2004 where he was an officer and helicopter pilot for 8 years, operating in various theatres around the world. Jamie is Managing Director of Martello Risk and Chief Executive Officer of Berwicks Consultants. He also acts as an independent advisor to a number of boards and executive teams. He specialises in CSR policy for mining and technology companies.



Emma Priestley – Chief Executive Officer


Emma is an experienced corporate director with proven track record of building successful businesses. She has an extensive network throughout Europe and Africa and currently serves as non-executive director of Stratex International Plc, a gold mining and exploration company with assets in Africa and Turkey, and advisory businesses CrossInvest Global Management Services Limited in Mauritius and African Resource Capital in London. Previously she was an Executive Director with the London-listed Africa focused conglomerate Lonrho Plc.



Markus Granlund – Chief Financial Officer


Markus is an experienced corporate finance professional. In 2008, he co-founded the Africa-focused independent corporate finance advisory boutique Rockbury Capital, specialising in project finance and M&A. He has provided strategic advice on projects across the African continent (and beyond) covering a diverse range of industries, including renewable energy and natural resources. Prior to co-founding Rockbury Capital he was a hedge fund analyst at Elgin Capital and an investment banking associate at Greenhill & Co in London.



Jeremy Webster – Chief Operating Officer


Jeremy is a farmer with extensive international agricultural experience. He has established, trained, developed and managed successful rural farming developments with private and government bodies. He previously owned a large commercial export farm in Zimbabwe and has established fertiliser blending plants in various African countries. Working for USAID, he established outgrower and value chain operations in Afghanistan and South Sudan covering 35,000 and 5,000 farmers respectively.
